January started the year with updates focused on expanding access and improving day-to-day usability. From bringing 4M Foundation Data to a new state to giving users more control over their account information, these releases are designed to help teams get up and running faster to work more smoothly in the platform.

Here’s what’s new this month.

New Features and Updates

New User Profile for Better Account Visibility

We’ve added a new User Profile section that gives users more control over their personal and organizational information, while helping Admins better understand how their teams use 4M.

Users can now:

  • Update personal details like first and last name
  • Edit organization information, such as department and role
  • Change their password directly from their profile

Why it matters: Cleaner, more complete user data gives Admins clearer insight into who’s using the platform, across roles, departments, and teams. This profile is the first step to improving governance, reporting, and long-term account management, especially as organizations scale.

4M Foundation Data Is Now Available in Alabama

4M Foundation Data has officially launched in Alabama, expanding access to instant, reliable utility data for projects across the state.

With this release, owners, planners, designers, surveyors, and builders in Alabama can align around a single, trusted source of utility information, reducing uncertainty and improving coordination from early planning through construction.

Why it matters: Statewide Foundation Data enables teams to surface utility risks earlier, reduce surprises, and move faster with confidence, all while working from a shared, authoritative dataset. As 4M continues to expand coverage, more teams can standardize workflows and build better together, no matter where projects take them.

See you next month

January’s updates are all about setting teams up for a strong year ahead: expanding access to trusted utility data while improving visibility and structure within your organization.
